Today (Sept 4), on her 34th birthday, Beyonce's friends and family honored their superstar daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend with a playlist of songs that remind them of great memories with her.
Each person reminisced about a personal memory they have about their beloved Bey. Her husband Jay-Z chose the song “Yellow” by Coldplay with the caption: “This song reminds me of you and I on vacation. ‘Look at the stars, look how they shine for you.’ So many legendary nights. It represents vulnerability; it’s us in our own world, away from work and totally lost in love. ‘For you I’ll bleed myself dry.”
Her father Mathew Knowles chose the Smokey Robinson song “Here I Go Again.” His memory writes, “I used to sing this song to you when you were in your mom’s stomach. After you were born, you would stop crying immediately when I sang it to you and your eyes would light up.”
