Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli has extolled the virtues of Vanguard and The Sun Publishers, Uncle Sam Amuka-Pemu and Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for their support during and after his coronation on Saturday.
Ogiame Ikenwoli also lauded Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Akinwumi Ambode and others. He described them as jewels of inestimable value.
The Warri monarch, who spoke with Inner room, said he was surprised on the huge turnout of eminent persons who came from various parts of the country to honour his coronation.
“Besides, I want to also commend the mass media for the wide coverage, before and even after the coronation last Saturday at the Ode-Itsekiri (Big Warri), the ancestral home of Itsekiri nation.”
While promising to work with all the ethnic groups in his domain, Ogaime Ikenwoli promised to be loyal to the Itsekiri people, adding that he will never betray the trust and confidence reposed in him.
“First, I wish to acknowledge some disharmony within the structure of our society. We will call on our people to look inwards, make right changes to edify our relationship.”
He further assured that he would provide true and transparent leadership and would never engage in any matter that will embarrass or intimidate anybody.
