Manchester United beats Leicester City 2-1 to win community shield title.

Manchester United on Sunday defeated EPL champions Leicester City 2-1 to win a record 21 Community Shield title.
United got the first goal 31 minutes into the game after a Wayne Rooney free-kick was headed clear by Wes Morgan. The Red Devils number 10 picked the ball up again 35 yards out, tapped it to Lingard who went on a run, took the ball past King and Drinkwater, nutmegged Morgan before slamming a low shot into the net.
England international, Jamie Vardy, who grabbed a 24-goal haul in the EPL last season, continued his scoring form when he stepped in at the 52nd minute to secure an equaliser for the Foxes  after a howler by Fellaini.
At the 83rd minute United new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores on his competitive debut for the Reds. The big Swede restored United’s lead after climbing above Morgan to nod an Antonio Valencia cross into the bottom corner.
Today’s match was United’s 30th appearance in the Community Shield. They’ve won the trophy on 21 times, a record figure (17 outright wins and four shared titles).
United have won the Community Shield in six of their last six appearances (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2016).
