To effectively tackle the problems of terrorism and money laundering through speedy and efficient administration of justice, the Ministry of Justice Wednesday said it has made a comprehensive review of the Terrorism ‎Prevention Act and also harmonized the 2011 and 2013 Acts into a comprehensive legislation.
This comprehensive legislation which it said would soon be sent to the National Assembly for passage into law would make provision for extra territorial application ‎of the Act, thus strengthening terrorist financing offences.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abdullahi Yola, disclosed this in Abuja at a-two day stakeholders sensitization workshop organized by the ‎National (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Risk Assessment (NRA) in Abuja.
