To effectively tackle the problems of terrorism and money laundering through speedy and efficient administration of justice, the Ministry of Justice Wednesday said it has made a comprehensive review of the Terrorism Prevention Act and also harmonized the 2011 and 2013 Acts into a comprehensive legislation.
This comprehensive legislation which it said would soon be sent to the National Assembly for passage into law would make provision for extra territorial application of the Act, thus strengthening terrorist financing offences.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abdullahi Yola, disclosed this in Abuja at a-two day stakeholders sensitization workshop organized by the National (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Risk Assessment (NRA) in Abuja.
