Olajumoke Orisaguma: Lagos bread Hawker turned model' makes double lead on Google rating.

From obscurity to the spotlight, bread seller hawker turned model, Olajumoke Orisaguna has ruled the internet within a short time of fame, overtaking big wigs in the arts, entertainment, business and political circles to become the most trending personality on Google, while her grass-to-grace story has also been rated the most trending story on the global search engine within the last three months.

Sharing few insights into the interests and habits of Nigerians in relation to entertainment in 2016 with culture and entertainment journalists in Lagos, at the weekend, Google’s Communication and Public Affair Manager, Anglophone West Africa, Mr. Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, revealed that online search remains one of the top online activities for Nigerians, with interests ranging from sports, music, movies, news and other aspects of life.

With snippets of happenstances ranging from Olamide’s controversial outing at the Headies to images of Olajumoke’s transformation and related fun photos of bread sellers in search of stardom to caricature videos of Leonardo DiCaprio’s first Oscar celebration, the ‘Search@’ hangout session rekindled memories with potpourri of entertaining clips.

With Google results, it was made obvious that Cinderella’s story is real, just as Good is made contagious as Olajumoke’s search has aided the rise of the search for TY Bello and model as a profession.

There are also indications of how deaths call for concerns in the case of celebrities such as  top Yoruba actor, Sikiru Adeshina, aka Arankangudu, and how an artiste could land a hot spot with a breakthrough song as in the case of Folarin Falana, aka Falz whose recently released video of Soldier is now the talk of town.

Olajumoke was followed by David Bowie, Adekunle Gold, Arakangundu, Dede One day, Mark 
Angel Comedy, Alan Rickman, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Natalie Cole and Falz in the Top 10 Trending list of January – March 2016 search.

She also led in the Top Trending Stories on Google, a category that has Don Jazzy/ Olamide, Dab, Bukky Ajayi’s award, Sophie Momodu, Tonto Dike delivers baby, Eritrean women, Olumofin brothers vs Gbemi, Netflix & Chill, Toolz wedding and Ooni of Ife’s Wife.

For Trending Nollywood Personalities within the time of review, Bukky Ajayi gets the lead for her emotional speech during the AMVCAs and was followed closely by the Best Actress winner, Adesua Etomi. Others are Monalisa Chinda, Tonto Dike, Omotola Jalade, Rita Dominic, Nonso Diobi, Funke Akindele, Stephanie Okereke and Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker.

Most viewed Music videos on YouTube include Tiwa Savage’s Standing Ovation  ft. Olamide, Olamide-‘s I Love Lagos, Korede Bello’s Romantic  ft.
